Alex Morales is the Director for the High-Priority School Improvement Initiative at the Center for Language Minority Education and Research at California State University Long Beach. Currently working on several projects at the center Alex is leading the team and its work on comprehensive school reviews and focused staff development activities.
Alex teaches courses and engages in projects that address the role of culture and diversity in school improvement, with a special, personal and professional interest in Southeast Asian and Korean heritage students and families, and a commitment to inclusion for all students in the education system, Alex teaches classes at California State University, Long Beach and Fullerton. Using his 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, lecturer, principal, director and administrator Alex is able to provide principals, classroom teachers, and university students with a well balanced approach to quality educational programs and instruction for students.
In addition, Alex continues to serve his community as an elected official. For the past twenty years he has served on several school boards that include Little Lake City, Rio Hondo College and Whittier Union High School. |
